Corn Tan

Some how Corn Tan is not as catchy of a name as Poppy Seed Tan or Mango Tan. =) Despite the lack of coolness in his weekly name descriptions Shaun and I are happily embracing our little ear of corn!!! Today marks the completion of week 24 which means only 16 weeks left for our baby to join us on our journey :) In the mean time we continue to enjoy feeling our little adjusting himself in mommy's tummy.

Mango Tan

Waking up on a Tuesday morning means waking up to the end of one week and the beginning of another week in this little journey our Baby Tan is on. Mornings seem to be just a little sweeter. Today marks the beginning of Baby Tan's 23 week. His is now approximately the size of a large mango.

Spaghetti Squash Tan

Today baby Tan begins his 22 week in the womb! We are a little more than half way there!!! Aside from a growing belly, baby Tan's fetal movement is such a comforting sign for a mommy and daddy in waiting :) How soon we've progressed from a poppy seed to a spaghetti squash!

Carrot Tan

Today marks the beginning of our little baby boy's 21st week of development in the womb. Twenty weeks already? and yet twenty more weeks to go????? According to babycenter.com our little one is about the size of a carrot, 3/4# and about 10 1/2 inches long. At our OB appointment last week little one was weighing slightly above 3/4 of a pound at 13 oz and was measuring a week ahead so technically he's almost hitting a pound today and about the size of a spaghetti squash. But for the sake of mommy's blog and the possibility of occasional growth spurts we'll continue on as initially planned and remain at a carrot for this week :)

Some of the things I have enjoyed during the 2nd trimester have been...

1. Love maternity pants! I love this stretch band that goes around my tummy! So comfy!

2. Love not having to worry about tucking in my tummy :)

3. Love the feeling of little baby Tan moving around

4. Love that my wonderful husband has been more than wonderful to me during this time of adjustment for the both of us. From making sure there's enough light during the night so I can see where I am walking during my routine trips to the bathroom during all crazy hours of night.

5. Love that we're having a boy! Knowing that Shaun will have so much fun instilling his commando and boyish ways in him brings me such joy!

6. Love that I feel so great both emotionally and physically. The first trimester sure was hard in both these areas.

7. Love that though there will be much much change about to enter our lives in about 20 weeks or so we are excited about seeking knowledge and wisdom about being first time parents we are also excited about finding contentment and flexibility with our little one.

8. Love that there is much more to come that I will find myself loving...
